D1 State Meet Results - Prelims
What a day at the pool in Ypsilanti today. WOW! Coach Steve did a great job getting the girls ready for this weekend's meet...good job!
The 200 Medley relay team started off the meet with a top 7 time, earning the right to swim for the championship on Saturday and All State Honors. (Sam, Shelby, Ellyse and Vicki)
Shelby dropped time in the 200IM going 2:17 and some change, but ended up 24th. However, she had a chance to swim in the 200 Freestyle relay. The girls had a great swim and managed to finish 13th. She'll swim in the consolation final tomorrow.
In the 100 Breast, Shelby was tapered and shaved for the first time. She was seeded 13th with a 1:09 and hammered to a 1:07:84, finishing 8th - That's All Freakin' State, BABAY!!
Needless to say, I'm one proud father...stay tuned for Saturday results.
