What's Old is New Again

So, the environmentally conscious in San Francisco - bellwethers of anything left wing - lead the charge years ago to spare all the living, breathing trees on the earth by outlawing the use of paper bags, favoring plastic.

Filed under "unintended consequences", the feel-gooders determined all those plastic bags ending up in a landfill somewhere wasn't such a good idea. So now, grocers must use PAPER bags made from recycled paper, essentially outlawing the use of plastic bags.

But here's the best part of the story...plastic bags $0.01 each, recycled paper bags $0.15 each, passing on additional costs to consumers so wack-jobs can feel better about themselves...PRICELESS!
