Hard Up for Content

Typically, the Holland Sentinel shows extremely good judgement while finding content for the local paper. This time, however, someone needs to re-visit their policies and procedures.

So, it's getting UGLY? R U Surprised?

So, the election season is winding down and things are getting REALLY ugly. Are you surprised? Not me…We’ve become a sound-bite driven society. No one wants to take the time to truly understand issues and verify candidates’ positions and/or credentials.

Why would a candidate take the time to articulate a credible position on any issues? No one will pay attention…It’s not exciting enough…it doesn’t gin-up the necessary amount of emotion.

So, is it any wonder why we have the inept, corrupt “leadership” in Washington?

The Jade Night Ride

I went on the Jade Night Ride last night. I think 6 of us rolled out for a ride in very sunny and mild conditions. Boy, did it get cold after the sun went down. About 18.5 miles in roughly 1:11:00.

Last night was clear, so without the clouds, it didn’t get dark until about 7pm. We had to add an extra loop in order to maintain the Night Ride’s Reputation…being that it’s a night ride and all.

You should come out next week…Bring your ATB or Cyclocross bike as the terrain of the dirt roads will not be kind to anything remotely roadie.

So, I'm listening to Rush today and he posits the theory that NOT voting Republocrat if you are a Republocrat in protest of their horrendous job of governing does nothing to advance your agenda and/or cause.

The world according to Rush: If the Demopublicans screw things up, vote Republocrat. If the Republocrats screw things up, vote Republocrat.

Okay, Rush...Got it.

A Bold New Look

Do you like it? We'll see how well I'm able to keep up this time around. This on-again, off-again project started about 3 years ago needs to keep rollin' along. If I can update this blog at least once per week, I may be able to get into the habit of doing it more often. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I don't think anything I have to say is truly worth reading, but it forces me to pay attention to what's going on in my world and organize thoughts. Without the opportunity to type out those thoughts in this blog, it would be tough for me to truly know what I think or believe.
